Boys Hockey
The Redhawks Boys Hockey teams play in the competitive Tri-Metro Conference (Blake, Breck, St. Paul Johnson, Providence Academy, St. Paul Academy, and Como Park) and in Section 2A. The Varsity and JV teams play 25 regular season games, including the Minnehaha Academy Christmas Classic in December.
The team will be lead by Senior Captains Ryan Leo, Ryan Evenson, and Jacob Eggers. Head Coach Patrick Griswold enters his second season as Head Coach of the Redhawks. The 1994 grad helped guide the team to a 9-15-3 record in 2011-12, including their first section victory since 2003. His assistant coaches include Michigan State alum Tyler Howells, who was a Captain for the Spartans in 2007 when they won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship. and Tyler Chestnut, a University of St. Thomas alum, who was an All-American Goaltender and led the Tommies to the NCAA National Tournament.

The official season begins: The 2nd Monday in November
The season generally ends: The 2nd Week in March
Captains practices begin: 30 days prior to the season starting
There are tryouts that occur: the first week of the season
Off season activities may include on and off ice clinics during June and July.
