Beauty and the Beast

April 9 , 2008 –The Minnehaha Academy Theatre will present Disney's Beauty and the Beast on April 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and 26th at 7:30 PM in the Robert L. Williams Fine Arts Center. This classic story was made into one of the most beloved animated films of all time, and the stage musical captures all of the magic of the movie. A young prince turns an old beggar woman away, and as punishment, she transforms him into a beast until he can learn to love. Belle, a young woman from the nearby village, longs for adventure, and when she crosses paths with the Beast, the real adventure begins. Will they learn to love each other before time runs out?

There are two casts for the production, and the casts alternate nights. Devin Clark, Jeremy Anderson, Milo Madole, and Linnea Holman will perform April 18, 24, and 26. Nelson Summers, Spencer Summers, Carl Numrich, and Anna Carey will perform April 17, 19, and 25.

With a cast, crew, and orchestra of close to one hundred students, this production has attracted some of the finest musicians and actors the school has to offer. Tickets are now on sale! Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. To reserve your seat, email ritamdaugherty@aol.com
