Competitive Sports for All
Everyone has an opportunity to join a team at Minnehaha Academy, where we offer 25 varsity sports (12 for boys, 13 for girls):

Objectives of Athletic Participation:
- A high level of physical fitness with emphasis on neuromuscular skills.
- The practice and appreciation for sportsmanship – being gracious and humble, in both victory and defeat.
- Interscholastic competition shall grow out of a broad program of participation for all students.
- The knowledge within individuals of the need to practice teamwork and cooperation in their relationships with others.
- Opportunities to observe and participate in a wide variety of individual and team sports.
- The development of leadership qualities within the participants and also the ability to recognize the qualities of good leadership.
- The development of traits of character, which will cause the participant to make the maximum contribution to society.
- The knowledge of the rules of the game.
- The ability to budget one’s time in a number of activities.
- The development of self-confidence within individual participants.

Fine Arts and Extracurricular Activities
Music is everywhere at Minnehaha Academy – filling our hearts and feeding our souls. Students in the Upper School can choose to participate in several different choral and instrumental groups that perform at school functions and celebrations throughout the school year:

Theater opportunities for students include acting, directing, playwriting, directing, stage management, scene study and theater history. Each year, the Upper School drama department presents three major productions:

- Winter showcase (written and directed by students)
- Spring musical or comedy
