Qualifications include:

The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for leadership and direction of the business and facilities operations of the school by providing oversight of finances, facilities, infrastructure, general operations, auxiliary operations and risk management. The Director of Finance and Operations reports directly to the President, serves on the President’s leadership and senior leadership teams, and is an ex-officio member of the Board Finance, Investment and Facilities Committees.
Director of Finance and Operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial:
- Oversees overall school finances; prepares and manages school budget
- Oversees overall school internal financial controls, regulatory compliance and financial reporting
- Maintains relationships with banks, investment institutions, auditors and other external providers of financial services in managing banking and investments for the school
- Develops, recommends and oversees implementation of financial, collections, tuition-related and other business-operational policies
- Develops long-range financial planning models; monitors progress toward following those models
- Works with Board Investment Committee to manage school Endowment Fund and other managed investments
- Works with Board Finance Committee on long-range strategic financial planning
- Serves as check-signing authority as alternate to the President
- Serves as authorized signer on all school matters including financial, physical plant, vendor contracts and other documents and contracts
Operations:
- Oversees operation and maintenance of all physical plant and capital assets
- Oversees all capital improvements, construction and remodeling projects and capital equipment and furnishings acquisition
- Oversees risk management, insurance, safety and security
- Oversees Custodial/Maintenance, Grounds, Food Service, Transportation, Ice Arena, School Store, Technology and School Master Calendar operations
- Oversees facility rentals
Senior Leadership:
- As member of collaborative senior leadership team, provides overall oversight and leadership of the school
- Assists to develop and implement school policies and procedures
- Provides information to the Board, Board Executive Committee, all other Board Committees, the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church and/or other entities on a regular basis and as requested
- Attends all meetings of the Board and its Finance, Investment and Facilities Committees
- Completes annual evaluation of direct reports; makes hiring decisions for all direct reports
- Coordinates training and development of direct reports
- Performs other duties as assigned by the President
Skills and Requirements:
- Fully aligned with the mission and purpose of Minnehaha Academy with a commitment to serve as a strong Christian role model
- Financial and management experience including budget preparation, financial statements, fund-accounting, investment management and financial reporting of $10+ million budget
- BA degree required in related area of study; MBA or CPA preferred
- Broad-based operations and facilities management experience
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, communication and management skills
- Effective team building, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and be attentive to details
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Minnehaha Academy is seeking a full time infrastructure, data systems, and communications administrator to advance the mission of the school through the implementation and support of information technology and meeting the needs of students, faculty and staff. The Assistant Technology Director supports the school’s backend infrastructure, resolves server issues and user computing and application software problems, installs hardware and software, upgrades, patches and fixes, develops, maintains, and disseminates knowledge of best solutions to new and recurring problems. Additional critical aspects of this role include, working collaboratively with other IT staff and administrators, recommending strategic insights that contribute to the overall direction of technology initiatives and integration, and strong commitment to customer service in responding to and anticipating needs of administrators, faculty and staff.
Assistant Technology Director
Qualifications include:
- A degree in computer science, Master’s a plus, or equivalent experience with demonstrated continuous learning, anticipating technological advances and needs
- Knowledge of back-end technology infrastructure deployment and support including server-level experience
- Technical knowledge of and ability to manage online communication systems and data services
- Knowledge of php and MySQL preferred
- Ability to research, support and troubleshoot numerous hardware peripherals, software, voice and data services
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with strong attention to details and the ability to multi-task and assess priorities
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with past management experience of initiatives and people preferred
- Ability to work well with others while demonstrating self-direction and flexibility in the 24x7 nature of technical support
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in research and leadership of technology solutions and support
- Supporting the school’s backend infrastructure
- Managing and expanding the data and reporting systems in support of our users
- Successful operation of all server, client computing, user interface, communication systems, application software and services
- Professional analysis and support of database services and solutions while maintaining and disseminating knowledge of best procedures and policies
- Research and support of communication systems including external and internal systems
- Research and procure hardware and software based on strategic initiatives; oversee and assist in their maintenance, repair, updates, and replacement
- Participate in the budget development process for all technology purchases
- Participate in the development of technology plans and the processing of documentation for E-rate and other technology funding
- Assist Director of Technology in the administration and leadership of technology department

Minnehaha Academy’s Extended Day Program has an immediate part-time opening available for a substitute.
Substitute Teacher – Extended Day Program: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours are 2:30 to 6 p.m. During school breaks there are also opportunities to work 4-6 hour shifts.
Qualifications include:
- Passion for working and playing with children
- Reliability and dependability
- Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
- Minimum of one year experience working with children in a church, school, daycare, or camp setting preferred
- Ability to plan/implement age appropriate activities
- Ability to support and implement the missions of the school and Extended Day Program
