Performing Arts Technical Manager 25 hours per week school year only
Minnehaha Academy has an opening in support of our chapel and fine arts center.

  • Requires flexible schedule, including evenings, averaging 25 hours per week throughout the school year
  • Priority duties involve the oversight of all major and minor productions within the school, including theatre performances, musical concerts, student assemblies and chapel, and rental requirements of our fine arts center and chapel, as well as the technical training of high school students to assist with these responsibilities

Qualifications include:

  • Degree and/or previous experience in technical operations of theatre/performing arts
  • Keen understanding of technical theatre design, audio, lighting, media, and equipment safety and maintenance
  • Ability to effectively work with and train high school students in all aspects of technical arts and event production
  • Excellent organizational skills & detail orientation with ability to multi-task and assess priorities
  • Strong people skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff and rental clients
  • Strong self-direction and schedule flexibility required, given morning, evening and some week-end work requirements
  • Ability to support the mission of our school

Chinese Teacher (75% FTE; Benefit Eligible)
This is a combined Upper School/Middle School position for the 2008-2009 school year. Mandarin Chinese is a newer program at Minnehaha Academy that is still growing.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous teaching experience

Fun-n-Friends / Yellow Lounge Teachers
Minnehaha Academy’s Extended Day Program has part-time openings for the 2008 school year available beginning immediately. Extended Day Program serves children in Preschool through 8th grade. :

Teacher – Extended Day Program: 15 – 20 hours per week from 2:30 – 6PM; Monday-Friday, school year months only, with 6 – 8 hour days available during school breaks

Qualifications include:

  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents and staff
  • Minimum of one year experience working with children in a church, school, daycare or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to plan/implement age appropriate activities
  • Ability to support and implement the mission of the school
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
