Homecoming at a Glance Homecoming Chapel, Hognander Chapel Please join us for a traditional chapel service and presentation of this year's Distinguished Alumni Service Award. If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please contact the Alumni Office. Alumni Art Show, Watson Art Gallery The Watson Art Gallery will be a showcase of Alumni art. The art show is open to all alumni. The works of Ray "Padre" Johnson '52 will be featured. Ray spent 15 years travelling to 159 countries and his artwork is a representation of this travels. Homecoming Brunch, Campus Room Please join us for the annual Homecoming Reunion Brunch in the Campus Room on the North Campus of Minnehaha Academy. All alumni and friends are invited to join us for this wonderful time of fellowship and great food. Reminisce over yearbooks, memorabilia, and with old friends. Call your classmates and invite them to join you for this memorable and delicious morning. Watch the mail for your invitation or call 612–728–7723 by September 26th to reserve your place. Homecoming Family Picnic What could be better than the Family Picnic to make new friends and catch-up with old friends? We have ordered perfect picnic weather to accompany the catered BBQ lunch. Costs for the event are $3 for adults and $2 for kids. Please email douglass-heidi@MinnehahaAcademy.net indicating the number of adults and kids that will be attending. Homecoming Athletic Games All alumni are admitted free to the Girls Volleyball (10 am), Boys Soccer (11 am), Girls Soccer (1 pm) and Football (3:30 pm) Homecoming games. Meet your alumni friends and pick up give-aways for kids at the alumni tent at the football game. Alumni Band members are invited to play with the pep band during the football game. Tours of the newly remodeled South Campus will also be given before the football game. The 1998 Girls Soccer State Champs will be honored during the Girls soccer game! Redhawk Run This annual 5K event has become quite an attraction, growing in size each year. Join us for an enjoyable run along the River Road starting at North Campus, traveling to South Campus and returning to North Campus, finishing before the football game begins. To preregister, call Heidi Douglass at 612–728–7723 or return the entry form found in the Summer Arrow. You can also fill out the registration form online. The cost is $5 preregistered, $7 race day. Entry fee includes a t-shirt. Check-in at the entrance to the soccer field at 1:00pm. 5K race/walk begins at 1:30 pm. South Campus Dedication Come see the newly remodeled South Campus! A reception and tours of the new classrooms and chapel will be led by middle school students beginning at 2:00pm. A dedication service will be held in the chapel at 3:30pm.
